Juana Burga, the model voted the most successful Peruvian model of all time by Cosas Magazine Peru in 2017, is making her first foray into the film business with Oscar-winning director Luis Puenzo’s post-apocalyptic drama Los Últimos, or The Unseen, set for release in the US and Europe in 2018.

The 26 year old, who’s been working in the fashion industry since 2007 – the year she won an Elite modelling competition in Lima, Peru - and has walked for luxury brands including Rodarte, Vivienne Westwood and Tory Burch, plays an indigenous woman in search of clean water in a war-torn world. In addition to her modelling and acting career, Burga is also an activist who works to protect Peruvian artisans who produce sustainable fibres which are then exported worldwide.
